Georgia is the home of wine. It has the oldest evidence of winemaking anywhere on the planet, and yes that includes France, Italy and Spain. So there you have it, they do know what they're doing.

This is a rich and complex white made without any skin contact, but raised in qvevri - underground terracotta eggs - where it picks up a certain grip and texture. WIld herbs mingle with apricot skin and delicious blood oranges. This is a great introduction to what can sometimes be a challenging but rewarding area of wine!

Archil Guniava, Tsitska white, 2017
