Domaine de Vieux Télégraphe is one of the most famous and well known historic producers of what is the very famous and well known appellation of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. They have the privilige of farming one some of the best sites in the area, and as such they see so much sun they're able to harvest on average a week earlier than their neighbours. The vineyards are known for their large pudding stone top soil - big, fist sized stones that basically cover the entirety of the top layer of the vineyard, retaining the warm southern sun and keeping the vines just the right level of toasty, while providing excellent water drainage.

This really is the real deal and it's just about coming into its own now it's got 6 years under it's belt, however if you have the patience to lay it down then it'll reward you for likely another 10-15 years.

It has all of that generous Grenache palate that lovers of CNDP look for, incredibly charismatic with ripe sun baked plums, cherries, damsons, prune, coffee, raisin and a lovely brushing of garrigue herbs over the top. Seemingly unbelievably to its ripeness, it's underlined by a fresh streak of acid, and just enough fine and elegant tannin to help you chew to happiness.

We've got a very very small amount of these in, so if you want a taste of the real good stuff that's, at least for now, at an accessible-ish price, then don't wait!
