Cremant in general offers great value. It means sparkling wine made in Champagne method, but (sometimes different types of) grapes grown elsewhere in France. Here we're in the tiny appellation of Jura in the mountains in Eastern France. 100% Chardonnay grapes are farmed biodynamically and aged in 600L barrels, to then be bottle aged on lees for a further 18 months to then be hand disgorged.
Full of chalky, salty freshness with lots of nuts and orchard fruit. On the palate it's luscious and rich, yet fresh and inviting. Proper Champagne beater this.
