A really elegant American Pinot Noir here from Willamette Valley, Oregon. Estate grown fruit is ploughed by horse, and naturally fermented with yeasts found on the grape skins, and then aged in 25% new oak for 16 months.
This is a Pinot that's a little more earth and spice driven. A good vintage for Oregon, and great quality fruit means this is going to mature really softly - if that's your bag.
We're not that patient, so it's tasting great now. Light red berries on the nose with a cigar boxy thing going on. A real nice alternative to red burg.
