Really really accomplished Grüner here. The grapes come from 2 parcels, one planted in 1963, the other being 30yrs old (old vines - rich wines), which are pressed including the stems to give a little structure and then fermented in 3 x 500L old oak barrels (no oakiness is imparted, just a little breathing room for the juice). The wine is then left to chill out for 12 months in barrel before being bottled without any previous racking, or filtration.
Serious complexity and minerality here you'd swear there was a little skin contact, but big tropical flavours and a backbone of searing acidity with some chunky and delicious texture.
So good we had to pop a bottle as we recieved the delivery!
