The new vintage is here guys!
Matthieu Lapierre is son of the inimitable Marcel - demi god of Beaujolais, one of the 'gang of 4' (or 5 depending on who you speak to), and basically maker of banging wines. The domaine really helped take back control of the Beaujolais appellation, making wines that speak of where they are, and making the "truest sense of Beaujolais" rather than beefed up wines with added sugar which was the trend back in the 90/00's.
This is their fun entry level bottling, grapes grown mainly in the best areas of Morgon (one of the most respected villages in Bojo) from vines not yet old enough to carry their appellation's name,
Bright, smooth, juicy and 1000% smashable. This is the perfect bbq, picnic, park bench, tent wine - it's so full of life and very very drinkable.
