2018 was the World Cup year it was mentally warm and dry for what felt like 6 months... English winemakers have been referring to it as the vintage of a century, making some stonking bottles.
The long season allowed an ripeness and concentration of flavours and aromas that can be difficult to reach in English wine. This Pinot Noir was aged for one year in old oak barrels to give it a velvety feel alongside those rich plummy aromas and tarragon flecked herbaceousness.
